Marshpoint PTA Updates for Ms. Stephens's 3rd Grade Class (2023-24)

It was nice to see those of you who came out last night for the Book Fair, Fall Festival planning meeting, and Bingo Night!  Here are some updates from the meeting. FALL FESTIVAL:   Friday, October 27, during the school day.  This year's Festival will have 3 zones:  a not-so-scary haunted trail; a choreographed dance zone; and a trunk-or-treat.  Each grade-level will host a trunk-or-treat booth, and the third grade theme is Nightmare Before Christmas .  Let me know if you have any ideas or props that will enhance our booth!  And, it goes without saying that we will need volunteers!  Cost is $7 per student, which will include Kona Ice, and may be paid using a credit card on  Givebacks .  Also, students who send-in a bag of candy may dress-down for free on October 20. DID YOU KNOW?   Your PTA raises money to sponsor fun events, teacher appreciation activities, and school subscriptions and supplies.  The Marshpoint Fall Festival, Starbucks treats for teachers on Fridays, and programs like Write Score are just a few examples. JOIN PTA:  CLASSROOM COMPETITION If just one person from every family in Ms. Stephens's class joins PTA, the class will be rewarded with a pizza party and $50 towards the class wish list!  And the prizes are even bigger if we reach this goal soon because we are in competition with the other classes! Membership is $5 per individual or $10 per family.  You may join and pay online with a credit card through  Givebacks  website.  Hello!  Thank you to all the families from Ms. Stephens's class who provided your contact information so I can share updates from the Marshpoint PTA. I am your Room Parent ( aka "Dorothy's mom") and I have learned a lot about the PTA in the last few weeks!  This year, we are starting a communication tree so you will have a personal contact (me!) who can send you timely reminders and also answer your questions.
